A man dies in this morning's plane crash just outside St. George.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office has not released the identity of a man who's small plane crashed this morning near the Utah-Arizona border.
Tuesday night law enforcement officials are still trying to contact the victim's next of kin.
The man, reportedly the only person on board, was piloting a Piper Meridien aircraft, which was finally spotted by the civil air patrol.
The search for the missing plane began this afternoon when its short flight from Las Vegas to Cedar City was reported 3 hours over-due.
The crash site is located in a rugged, remote area west of St. George. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
The NTSB will also be on site Wednesday to try and determine the cause of the accident. Weather is not believed to have been a factor.
