26 year old Kassie Lee and her 8 year son Jerym, died in Monday's accident on Riverside in St. George. 6 year old Jace Lee is recovering at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake. A family member says he has a broken jaw and other injuries. But, he should make a full recovery.
The accident happened shortly after 9am Monday. Police say the car was westbound on Riverside, when Lee veered off the right side of the road. She overcorrected and crossed the centerline hitting the dump truck head on. The dump truck driver was transported to DRMC, but did not suffer life threatening injuries. A donation fund has been set up at Zions Bank. Its called the Lee Family Donation, and money will be used for medical costs and funeral expenses. Donations will be accepted at all Zions Bank branches.
