The Iron County School District wrapped up the first ever...Sharp Minds Math Challenge this afternoon.
4th graders throughout the district were using special calculators donated by Les Olson Company not as shortcuts to math solutions but as a way to acquire new math skills. The contest consisted of students answering multiple math questions during a timed event. The student with the highest percentage of correct answers at the end of four rounds was declared the winner. That Mathlete was Tyler Wheeler of Enoch Elementary.
