Chris Coan's Body Found

By Alana Brophy

The search for an Enoch man who's been missing for the past year and a half, is over.
Iron County Search and Rescue found the body of 18 year old Chris Coan this morning.
Coan's truck was located at the bottom of a ravine off Kolob Reservoir Road up Cedar Canyon.
After seeing the scene, Enoch city police chief, Dave Browning says it looks like Coan lost control of his truck while driving.
Chief Browning believes the incident was an accident and not a suicide.
Officials believe Coan, who disappeared on September 3, 2007, rolled the truck into thick brush at the bottom of Right Hand Canyon outside Cedar City.
As you might recall, Coan was last seen at the fast food restaurant where he worked in Cedar City.
He'd apparently left home that day without his wallet or cell phone and his disappearance launched a massive search that included the FBI.
A man was walking his dog last evening, Rex Rushton, discovered the missing pick up truck and reported the discovery to police.
Rushton recognized the car from Coan's missing fliers posted around town.
Rushton says he's happy he helped bring closure to Coan's family and the ongoing case, but in his heart he knew he was led to the spot.
KCSG attempted to contact the Coan family.
They were avid in the search for their son.over the last year and a half.
At this time, they did not wish to speak to us. Tomorrow on KCSG News at 5:30 and 9:00, we will bring you more on this story.
