Tri-State Crime Stoppers

By Alana Brophy

Southern Utah Sheriff's Deputies and the Utah Department of corrections are teaming up to find a fugitive on the run.
The agencies are asking for your help locating him and even offering a reward.
"This was an opportunity for him and he decided to run instead of cooperate with authorities"
Dustin Lynn Rustad is charged with aggravated burglary, broke his parole and is actively avoiding police.
"Any occasion when someone is running they usually will use crime to facilitate their escape or continuing to run."
Maybe its his no bail warrant for aggravated burglary, but the state department of corrections want this guy off our streets so badly, they are offering a reward for information.
"They are offering up to 500 dollars for information that would lead to his apprehension."
Because of his aggravated burglary charge , deputies say he may use force to get what he wants and if you deal with him don't give in.
"Anyone who helps a known or wanted fugitive can be charged with harboring. It's a criminal offense and they can go to jail for it," says Bentley.
Deputies say there's good news though, Dustin Rustad has some extremely noticeable markings.
Rustad is also about six three and 220 pounds. Deputies say Rustad screwed up his chance to get back into society.
"It's not an escape it's just a matter of time before you're picked back up."
If you know where Rustad is police ask you call the number listed on your screen.
Remember your anonymous tip can be worth up to 500 dollars.
" If we can get him safely into custody then the community is less at risk."
