(Springdale, UT) - Representatives from Springdale have partnered with the Dixie Metropolitan Planning Organization to study whether a shuttle system from St. George to Springdale is feasible.
The study will determine start-up and ongoing costs, as well as the overall impact a shuttle system could have on the region.
A shuttle system could connect St. George, the population and commercial center of the region to Zion; but the economic impact on Hurricane and Springdale will be carefully evaluated. Shuttle stops along the way located remotely from local businesses could cause an economic hardship for some communities. The feasibility study is expected to take six months to a year to complete.
