The Votes are in and Cedar City has been named the best Utah getaway for 2009.
The Las Vegas Review Journal picked Cedar City for a variety of different reasons. Things that stuck out to the Journal staff were the red rock mountains, and outdoor activities such as, hiking, camping, ATV trails and If the great outdoors isn’t your cup of tea, then visiting the Utah Shakespearean Festival along with the Braithwaite Arts Galley are must-sees among some of the city's top attractions. The Tourism bureau is hoping that being known as the best Utah getaway will help stimulate the city’s economy.
The Las Vegas Journal has more than a half million subscribers and received over 15,000 votes for best getaway.
