Iron County authorities removed 3,000 marijuana plants from a grow operation discovered in the mountains southeast of Cedar City. Hunters stumbled onto the grow last Friday and alerted authorities.
Iron County Sheriff, Mark Gower says that several law enforcement agencies including, The DEA the The National Guard, US Marshall's and BLM have all worked together over the past several days to take down the operation.
Authorities used a helicopter to get the plants out of the remote area.
The grow has an estimated street value of nearly five million dollars.
No arrests have been made at this time, but the case is still under investigation
