  • $15,000 Reward Offered For Information on Colorado City Cat Encasement

    (Colorado City, AZ) - The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a cat incident reported on May 31, 2012, in Colorado City, Arizona, in which property owners rescued a cat encased in cement. However, the cat died from injuries suffered in the incident.

    MCSO has partnered with Animal Advocate Organizations in an attempt to determine the person or persons responsible for the torture and death of the kitten.

    The organizations providing the reward money are:

    Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah - $5,000

    Humane Society of the United States - $2,500

    PETA - $2,500

    Humane Society of Utah - $5,000

    Humane Society of Utah - $5,000

    The cumulative total reward offered is $15,000 with the addition of the Utah Human Society last week. The reward is being offered for the arrest and conviction of person/persons involved in the torture and death of the Colorado City kitten.
