13th Annual Dixie-Escalante Kite Festival Saturday, April 21st

(St. George, UT) - The Dixie-Escalante Kite Festival is set for Saturday, April 21, 2012 beginning at 10:00AM at the Sun River Golf Course, 4210 Bluegrass Way. The family event is designed to promote reading as a habit and encourage students to engage in family-oriented physical activity. Qualifying students earn a high-quality kite or book for their reading efforts.

Contributions are also made to the Washington County School Foundation for distribution to schools most actively involved in the kite festival based on attendance.

Entrance to the festival is free.

Schedule of Events

The Hubcaps of St. George entertain beginning at 8:00PM. The band consists of Gary Ford, Kent Sevy, Sean Sevy, Devon Archer, and Brant Jones. The group has been entertaining since 2003 with a repertoire from the Beatles to the Eagles, Ella Fitzgerald to Michael Buble, Elvis to Billy Joel, Glenn Miller to Jo Stafford, and the Beach Boys to John Mayer.
