(Apple Valley, UT) - Mayor Rick Moser told KCSG News late Tuesday that the tentative election results in the dis-incorporation election held June 19th shows 115 voted YES (In favor of dis-incorporation and 167 voted NO (opposed to dis-incorporation).

Mayor Moser said there are 18 provisional ballots (Not yet counted). The total number of ballots cast was 300. There are 370 registered voters in Apple Valley.

"Keep in mind that these are not the final results," Moser said. "There are 18 provisional ballots that need to be reviewed by the county and the they will decide if they should be counted."

The official election canvas will be done by the Town Council within the next couple weeks.

Apple Valley became an incorporated community October 14, 2004. Some of the town residents had pushed to dis-incorporate in an effort to slow the changes they said they wanted no part.

The issues are all part of the community's growing pains. "It's not that we're not trying," Mayor Moser had previously stated. "It's just, we're small. We're in the beginning stages and you have to take things one step at a time."
