(St. George, UT) – The Dixie State College Choral Ensemble will open its 2012-13 concert season with a special two-night concert engagement this Thursday and Friday evenings in the Dolores Dore’ Eccles Fine Arts Center Concert Hall on the DSC campus. Both concerts will begin each night at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday’s concert will feature three of DSC’s choral ensembles, including the Women’s Chorus under the direction of Merrilee Webb, along with the Vocal Jazz Project and the Men’s Chorus, both under the direction of Dr. Robert Briggs. Friday’s engagement will include the Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Ken Petersen, and the Centennial Park Men’s Chorus and Chamber Singers, both of which are led by Dr. Briggs. Both shows will perform many well-known and spirited numbers that showcase a wide array of music and genres.

General admission tickets for each concert will be available at the door for $5 for adults and $1 for DSC students and faculty and staff with current ID.
