  • DSC Dixie Forum Begins “Great Faiths” Series with Discussion on Hinduism Oct. 2nd

    (St. George, UT) – Dixie State College’s weekly noontime “Dixie Forum: A Window on the World” convocation series will begin its new “Great Faiths” discussions on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd, with a presentation on Hinduism by UNLV Professor Dr. Satish C. Bhatnagar. The Forum will begin at 12 noon, in the Dunford Auditorium of the Browning Resource Center on the DSC campus. Admission is free for all community members, DSC students, and faculty and staff.

    A native of India, Dr. Bhatnagar came to the United States in 1968 to work on his Ph.D at Indiana University in Bloomington, and has taught mathematics at UNLV since 1974. He is a founding member of Friends of India in Las Vegas, the World Association of Vedic Studies and the American Hindu Association.

    The weekly Dixie Forum series will continue its 2012 Fall Semester slate on Tuesday, Oct. 9th, with the second “Great Faiths” discussion, featuring a presentation on Buddhism by Marge Kinder.
