Dixie won 49-3 and kept its early season momentum intact by winning its third game. The Flyers (3-0) scored five touchdowns in a nine and a half minute stretch of the second quarter.
After a 7-0 Dixie first quarter, running back Justin Cummings started the onslaught with his 13-yard scoring run. The senior back added a 57-yard touchdown six minutes later. The Flyers were so dominant in the second quarter that Cummings stood on the sidelines action-less for the rest of the game along with much of the Dixie starters.
Cummings only got seven carries but he tallied 95 yards and the two touchdowns. On defense, he had one sack and five tackles. Devin Brady added five tackles and a 51-yard interception return for a touchdown.
Dixie quarterback Blake Barney went 9-for-14 passing for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
Nine different Flyers carried the ball 33 times netting 244 yards.
