  • Intermountain Health Care's Chris Coons Named VP of Outreach Services; Terri Kane Becomes VP of Southwest Region

    (St. George, UT) - Chris Coons has been named vice president of outreach services for Intermountain Healthcare and continues as CEO of Homecare Services. The new assignment is effective September 1. Coons will be responsible for the research, selection, development and implementation of business opportunities in rapidly expanding areas such as tele-health, wellness, travel medicine, medical tourism, and complementary medicine, as well as other emerging forms and technologies.

    Dixie Regional Medical Center’s CEO/Administrator Terri Kane becomes regional vice president for Intermountain’s Southwest Region, and continues as administrator for Dixie Regional Medical Center. Intermountain Health's Southweast Region includes the Dixie Regional Medical Center, Valley View Medical Center, Cedar City and Garfield Memorial Hospital, Panguitch and other Intermountain services in the southwestern corner of Utah.

    Kane, has more than 30 years of distinguished service in the medical profession beginning as a bedside nurse. She has served in various capacities including administration of the women and newborn service for all of Intermountain while serving as CEO/administrator of the Dixie Regional Medical Center since 2006. In 2003, Kane received IHC's Manager of Distinction Award. Under her leadership the hospital has earned many national honors including Thomson-Reuters Top 100 Hospitals and Top 50 Heart Hospitals, Cleverley & Associates 100 Top Hospitals, Midas & Platinum Quality Award, and Health Insight Quality Award, the only hospital in Utah and Nevada to win the award four consecutive years.
