(St. George, UT) - KCSG Television begins another phase of its strategic partnership with KSL-TV Monday, August 8, 2011 by adding KSL 5 News at 7:00PM and 9:00PM. The joint announcement by Ed Merrifield, General Manager of KCSG Television and Tanya Vea, Executive Vice President of KSL News and Program Development, said the long standing association with KCSG will allow KSL 5 News to increase market recognition with co-branded "Live 5 Weather" already broadcast nine-times daily on KCSG.

KSL 5 News is anchored by Bruce Lindsay and Nadine Wimmer with the LIVE5 Weather team of Kevin Eubank and Len Randolph, and Tom Kirkland on sports.

"The partnership is an example of a strategic relationship that mutually benefits both stations in the new era of evolving digital technology empowering broadcasters to deliver services that are important to consumers. The addition of KSL 5 News to KCSG Television programming is another important step in the KSL and KCSG Television partnership," Merrifield said.

"KSL is thrilled to partner with KCSG and we look forward to providing additional news content, utilizing the combined resources of KCSG and KSL, for Southern Utah viewers beginning in early September," Vea said.
