Kim received his Bachelors degree in Art, worked with the Boy Scouts of America, and was President of Friends of the NRA. He served in the U.S. Navy/U.S. Marines from 1969-1973. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as a building custodian and home teacher. Kim enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting guns and knives, and carpentry. He was an artist and also a musician. He loved his family foremost. Later, he retired from Quest after working there for 33 years.
He is survived by his wife; children Jacy Fields (Chad) of Beaver, UT; Weston Jones (Geneva Richards) of St. George, UT; Marki Dalton (Brendon) of Cedar City, UT; mother; sister Karen Larsen of Nampa, ID; and 8 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sister Kathy and father.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Enoch Homestead Chapel, 1390 East Midvalley Road in Enoch, Utah. Visitations will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Southern Utah Mortuary, 190 North 300 West, Cedar City, Utah, and Saturday, July 14, 2012 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary, 190 North 300 West, Cedar City, Utah - (435) 586-4040.
