This spring, a group of paleontologists are working to come up with answers. Dr. Joseph Peterson of the University of Wisconsin/Oshkosh will be leading a crew of students to the quarry May 17 through May 23. They will examine the local geology closely to establish an idea of what the world looked like 147 million years ago here in what is now central Utah. Dr. Peterson and his crew of students will resume excavations into this mysterious bone bed. Come join the scientists during the weekend of May 18-20 where the public will have the opportunity to see paleontology in action. Excavations will be occurring and the students will be there to answer questions about their research.
