(Ivins, UT) - The Kayenta Arts Foundation is proud to present Poetry Under The Stars – an evening of performance poetry Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 7:30pm, the cost is $5.00 per person at the door. The public is invited to enjoy a group of remarkable poets “perform” their own poetry. The Foundation has managed to entice the best of the best in local talent to entertain the Southern Utah community with their own very personal interpretations of some of their very own favorite poems.

Our local poets have very different poetic styles, and The Kayenta Arts Foundation has tried to highlight that Southern Utah diversity by choosing poets who represent the unique multiculturalism of the area. So expect to enjoy performance poems from traditional to rap. Poetry Under The Stars is suggested for ages 15+.

The artist line-up includes: Janice Brooks, John Chavez, Cheryl Collins, Darren Edwards, Robin Hampton, Andrew Mallek and Ryan Rutkoskie. Many of the poets are published and all are extremely talented, bringing their own singular voice to share with our community.

Tables will be set up so that everyone can truly sit back, eat, relax and be drawn into the world of the artist. Bring a picnic along and make an evening of it. Poets rock!
