(Richfield, UT) - Utahna Colleen Hardy Heap, age 83, passed away on June 17, 2012 in Richfield, Utah surrounded by her family. She was born December 17, 1928 to Luther and Eliza Banks Hardy in Minersville, Utah. She married the love of her life James Allen Heap on June 29, 1948 in the St. George LDS Temple. They had 7 children whom they loved very much...Roy, Maxine, Colleen, Charles, David, James and Tawna.

Utahna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved horses, watching the Jazz and spending time with her family whether it was going camping, playing games, and going out for ice cream. She spent a lot of time reading, crocheting and doing genealogy work. Utahna was loved by everyone who knew her, and will be greatly missed.

Utahna is survived by her children; Colleen (Les) Topham of Richfield, UT, Charles Heap of Ogden, UT, David R. (JaNae) Heap of Brigham City, UT, James A. Jr. (Jolynn) Heap of American Fork, Ut, and Tawna Thomas of Erda, UT. Along with 28 wonderful grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Allen Heap. Her parents Luther and Eliza Hardy, her son Roy Allen Heap, daughter Maxine Heap, granddaughter Michelle Heap and son-in-law William R. Thomas. Her brothers; Floyd, David, James, LaMar, Alden and Elden Hardy, and sisters; Mildred, Cleo and Maxine.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 12:00 pm at the Parowan 2nd Ward 85 West Center Street in Parowan, Utah. A viewing will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 6:00-7:00 pm at the Parowan 2nd Ward, and also on Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 10:30-11:30 am at the Church. Interment will be in the Parowan City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
