(St. George, UT) - Dixie Regional Medical Center received the Midas+ Platinum Quality Award on May 25, 2011 at the Midas+ User Symposium in Tuscon, Arizona. “This is the second year we have been named a top performer by Midas,” said Terri Kane, CEO/Administrator for Dixie Regional. “We believe recognition like this is possible because of our skilled and caring physicians, program leaders, employees and volunteers.”

The Midas+ award is based upon Dixie’s performance in the Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) Midas+ National Comparative Database for specific key areas of clinical performance. Those areas include measures for acute care readmission rates, heart care, stroke care, pneumonia care, length of stay, major small and large bowel procedures, septicemia and infections, as well as related mortality rates.

The scoring methodology for this award is based upon comparative performance of more than 600 hospitals that participate in either the Midas+ CPMS or DataVision solutions. ACS Midas+ selected the top 5% of Midas+ hospital performers in three award categories: Average daily census < 100, Average daily census 100 – 200, Average daily census > 200. Dixie Regional was awarded a top performer in the Average daily census 100 – 200 category.
