    (Hurricane, UT) - The 60th anniversary celebration of the Washington County Fair was officially lauched with a ribbon cutting ceremony with Miss Washington County Fair Krissia Beatty, the daughter of Del and Kim Beatty, accompanied by 1st Attendant Kelby Tyler, the daughter of Mike and Vicki Tyler and 2nd Attendant Kaylee Kimzey, the daughter of Kyle and Nicole Kimzey. The 2011 Miss Spirit (Congeniality) is Tiffany Hall, daughter of Brent and Gina Hall.

    LaVerkin City is the 2011 Spotlight City - the Grand Marshall Ardella Heiner of LaVerkin and the 2011 Pioneer Award was presented Muriel Church of LaVerkin.

    Rock Concerts Thursday and Friday night, August 11th and 12th with bands paying tribute and celebrating two of the most popular bands of the 70’s, The Doors and Led Zeppelin. Theere are three stages of shows and camel rides, a demolition derby, family games, giveaways, a carnival and great food.
