(St. George, UT) – Snow Canyon lost only four games in 2010; the Hurricane Tigers were responsible for two of those losses, and were the only Region 9 foe to experience success over the Warriors.

Tuesday night at Snow Canyon, the Warriors made sure such a scenario this season would not happen.

The Lady Warriors won 1-0 over the Tigers and continued its solid play winning its fourth game in a row. Snow Canyon now sits alone atop the Region 9 standings at 3-0 (5-1 overall).

Tirsa Snyder scored the lone goal and Cecilee Horlacher registered the shutout as the keeper for Snow Canyon.

Warriors sophomore Snyder continuted to impress extending her scoring output and now leads her team with six goals scored.

Hurricane dropped to 0-3 in region play and 3-3 overall.

The Warriors play at Dixie (2-0) Thursday in a highly anticipated game by both teams and their fan bases.

    In other Region 9 action:

Cedar upended Desert Hills at the Thunder’s home field 2-0. The Lady Reds are now 2-0 in region and 4-1 overall. Desert Hills fell to 0-2 in region and 2-4 overall.
