(St. George, UT) – Pine View high school senior Kali Stubbs visited with KCSG Prep Central's Develon Isom sharing some thoughts on her success.

Stubbs helped lead her Panther soccer team to a 2-0 week last week and in doing so, Pine View outscored their opponents 8-1.

Stubbs played exceptional on Thursday night against Hurricane registering a hat trick (three goals). Her demonstration of her soccer skill set had the Pine View crowd thrilled with appreciation.

Stubbs three goals raised her season total to nine goals and 37th career goal in 61 games. In addition, it was her second career hat trick performance, and her 10th multi-score game.

Stubbs’ goal scoring average per game has steadily increased each year, from 0.38, 0.53, 0.72 and 0.90 this season, almost a goal per game.

She scored 13 goals in 18 games last season and is well on pace to improve upon that. What’s more important, Stubbs has scored mostly against Region 9 competition: only five of her career goals were scored against non-region teams.

She will be taking her soccer skills to Utah Valley University next fall, on an athletic scholarship.

However, until then, Stubbs and her Pine View Panthers have a goal they are working towards: winning a region title and making a run at the 3A girls soccer title.
