The Reds (1-1) put 21 points on the board before the Panthers found the end zone in the third quarter.
Cedar running back Hayden Bishop set the pace with a pair of short rushing tds (4 and 1 yards) in the first and second quarters. Then quarterback John Ursua showed why is considered a top athlete in the state by running for a 79-yard score to put Cedar up 21-0 with five minutes remaining in the first half.
Pine View’s Braxton Peterson removed the zero on the scoreboard for the Panthers three minutes into the third quarter with his 10-yard running score, but Ursua had an answer with another 60-yard run to make the score 28-7 only two minutes after Peterson’s score.
Ursua ran for a 5-yard score in the fourth quarter to make the game appear to be over, 35-7 Cedar, with 5:40 left.
