    (Grand Canyon, AZ) - The Grand Canyon National Park Service rangers have released identity of the man whose body was found next to his car at the Cape Royal Trailhead on the North Rim of Grand Canyon as that of Donald Haney, 70 of Cherokee Village, Arkansas.

    Haney was found on the morning of October 3 after the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center received a report of a possible fatality at the Cape Royal Trailhead.

    The National Park Service, with the assistance of the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Officer, conducted an investigation into the incident; it was determined that 70-year old Haney died of natural causes.
