    (St. George, UT) - Hurricane High school’s Brian Scott was named the Deseret News Class 3A Football MVP and he has plenty of company.

    Joining Scott on the 3A First team are 11 of his co-Region 9 players, in addition, two players from Delta were named to the first team as well.

    3A First Team players are:

    Quarterbacks: Hayden Nielsen of Spanish Fork and John Ursua of Cedar

    Running backs: Mike Needham of Desert Hills and Christian Taele of Spanish Fork

    Wide receivers: Jono Schettler of Park City and Jake Arslanian of Pine View

    Offensive linemen: Gerry Banda of Delta, Kahi Eldredge of Cedar, Jared McCauley of Juan Diego, Alex Sefita of Hurricane and Sosiua Vaitohi of Spanish Fork

    Defensive linemen: Jeremy Cafe of Stansbury, Ryan McCauley of Juan Diego, Kevin Mortensen of Hurricane and Boston Saunders of Morgan

    Linebackers: Colin Argyle of Spanish Fork, Peter Brown of Desert Hills, Skyler Cloward of Grantsville and Dakota Cox of Juan Diego

    Defensive back: Colin Christensen of Delta, Taylor Parker of Hurricane, Bud Pope of Desert Hills

    Kicker: Austin Barker of Dixie
