(St. George, UT) - The 2011 Southern Utah Education Conference (SUECON) was one of the more exciting events in the region for K12 educators this year. The event took place October 13th and 14th at Desert Hills High School. More than 650 educators participated in the two-day event held during the fall break of Washington County School District.

The conference was a combination of two regional conferences, the Utah Educational Library Media Association (UELMA) and the Utah Coalition of Educational Technology (UCET) along with a professional development event of the Washington County School District. The first year event theme was “Targeting 21st Century Learning” and focused on the integration of technology into the school and classroom.

The 2012 Southern Utah Education Conference (SUECON) of media specialists is scheduled for October 26-27, 2012. The conference theme is BEYOND 2012 - CREATING THE FUTURE.
