(St. George, UT) - Watch for intermittent right lane closures on Southbound I-15 as closures are necessary for crews to have enough space to drill, form and pour sign bases. Final paving for the Dixie Drive project will begin Monday, March 12 and will continue for ten days while crews lay over 7,000 tons of new asphalt.

    Interchange map

Hilton Drive to the new Dixie Drive Traffic Switch; Motorists are enjoying the new signalized intersection at Black Ridge and Hilton Drive. This traffic pattern will be in place until the end of March.

East and West bound traffic from the bridge over the Santa Clara River on existing Dixie Drive is now merged onto the new Dixie Drive.

Hilton Drive is closed from the intersection at Indian Hills to the intersection at Black Ridge Drive with business access only.

Southbound traffic on Indian Hills can make a left-hand turn and travel east but cannot make a right-hand turn.

Speed limits in the area are reduced and motorists are urged to obey all posted warnings and signs.

The Dixie Drive Interchange project is on schedule to be completed by July 2012.

    TRAIL OPENINGS:

The Confluence Park Trailhead and restrooms are opened. Patrons to the park are asked to respect their new facilities and enjoy this great addition to St. George.

    TRAFFIC SHIFTS:

Dixie Center Traffic exiting from I-15 Northbound onto the Bluff Street off-ramp should stay in the right-hand lane for more convenient access to Dixie Convention Center Drive.

    TRAILS:

Excavation crews have finished grading the new Dixie Drive Trail. This trail will be paved by the city of St. George and will open for use in September. Upon completion the new Dixie Drive Trail will connect with Tonaquint Park and the Confluence Park Trailhead and adjacent trails.

The Confluence Park Trailhead is open. The bridge connecting the Virgin River Trail to the Webb Hill Trail is open. City crews are working on the following closures: The trail between the Doctor's Free Clinic and River Road; approximately 1 mile East of River Road; The Santa Clara River Trail between Tonaquint Park and Backyard Gardener and South Bloomington/Sunriver Trail between Bloomington Park and Las Colinas Subdivision. Repairs will be finished by Fall.

The Hilton Drive Trail is closed.
