(St. George, UT) - Several people are in jail after the Washington County Area Drug and Gang Task Force raided smoke shops for the synthetic marijuana known as Spice.

Investigators said the search warrants served Wednesday are the culmination of an eight-month-long investigation launched by a tip.

When it was all over, the Spice officers seized had a total estimated street value of over $1.5 million.

Rachel Wright and Jeremy Wright were arrested Wednesday on Spice distribution charges and for operating a business without a license.

Rebecca Beckman and Terry Beckman are also facing felony distribution charges, as is Jordan Hansen.

The raided smoke shops, investigators said, were distributing Spice made by a St. George resident.
