LaVoy was an all-around athlete in Beaver High School. He loved Football, Basketball and Track. He was a track star and took state his senior year. He later served in the army as sergeant in the US Army Artillery and served as MP in WWII in Italy. He was a member of the LDS church and served in many positions, such as High Council. He and his wife served a temple mission in St. George and a mission at Cove Fort. He had various jobs and retired from US Fish and Wildlife ADC at age 58. He had many hobbies that included hunting, fishing and he loved building and staying busy. He is preceded in death by his baby boy, Eddy, Sister Corrine Muir Cole, Brother, Gale Maycock and his parents. He is loved by many and will be truly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the 2nd Ward Chapel in Beaver (15 North 100 West) at 12:00 Noon. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM till 11:45 AM on Tuesday morning also at the church.
Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver.
