(Cedar City, UT) - The Cedar City Chapter of the Utah Native Plant Society (UNPS) will hold a native plant sale on Saturday May 19th. The sale hours are from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon in the parking lot at the Tourism Bureau and Visitors Center located at 581 North Main Street, just north of Coal Creek in Cedar City.

UNPS President Marguerite Smith said “anyone can learn how to have a great looking waterwise landscape complete with trees, shrubs and flowers. Native plants, along with adapted species of plants, which will flourish in Iron County, will be on sale.”

Four nurseries who specialize in native plants will participate. Big Trees Nursery located in Kanarraville, Utah, Wildland Nursery from Joseph, Utah, Great Basins Natives from Holden, Utah and Shadow Farms Nursery located in Summit, Utah.

Gardner’s who wish to learn more about native landscaping are welcome at the sale. Members of the Cedar City Chapter of the UNPS and certified Mastergardners will be available at the native plant sale to answer your questions and discuss your landscape options. If you have questions about your personal landscape, The Mastergardners will work with you to solve your problem. You may also join the Utah Native Plant Society at the sale or learn how you can become a Mastergardner yourself.
