According to Wilkinson, he recommended Len for many reasons, citing a campaign launched to firmly root the SBA’s SBDC program much more effectively in the counties he serves; community outreach/recognition programs; higher number of community training events; a specific focus on networking and partnerships; the SBDC has produced more than double the amount of new business starts; high customer satisfaction; triple the increase in sales; nearly double the amount of jobs created; increased quality of clientele; 50% increase in hours served; “bankruptcy prevention” services and the fact that Len has actively participated and been a leader at the local level. Says Wilkinson, “…(Erickson) has a passion for the SBDC and helping other succeed, clearly it shows.”
About Lennart T. Erickson:
Lennart is the Director of the St. George SBDC, and an adjunct professor of business and entrepreneurship at Dixie State College. Previously, Erickson served as CFO for Andrus Transportation Services (ATS), as well as V.P. and Board Member of (ATS); CFO/Exec. V.P. of Great Dane, Inc.; V.P. of Finance and V.P. of Marketing for Colorado Silica Sand, Inc.; CFI Corp. in Finance Mgmt.; Great Western in Finance Mgmt.
Len began his career with a BA in Economics and Accounting, and then obtained his MBA in Finance from the University of Utah. He prides himself in being a dedicated instructor with real work experiences who truly practices what he preaches.
