I stand by the ordinance adopted by Salt Lake City and supported by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints affirming that any discrimination in hiring or housing based on a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity is illegal. I believe this position should be adopted by the state legislature and by all Utah citizens state-wide. As your governor, I will not tolerate any kind of illegal discrimination against any faction of our citizens."
