    (St. George, UT) - Don Ladell Ollerton passed away peacefully on May 7, 2012 in St. George, Utah. Don was born in Fairview, Utah on October 1, 1927. He was the youngest of ten children born to Seth and Lucy Estella Ollerton.

    Don attended school in Springville, UT and Redondo Beach, CA. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. After serving in the Navy, Don lived in Alaska, where he worked as a lumber jack. Upon returning to Utah, he met and married Iva Mae Evans. They moved to Southern California, started their family, and Don began working for McDonald Douglas. After a few years, he began his long career as policeman with the Redondo Beach Police Force. Don retired after over 20 years on the police force working as patrolman, forgery detective and the Harbor Patrol. In 1994, Don and Iva retired to Silver Reef Utah, where they pursued their hobbies and interests as well as spending time with their grandchildren.

    Don was preceded in death by his wife Iva Mae.

    Don leaves behind three children, Don Kevin Ollerton, Karen Joy Hufford and Karlyle Evans Ollerton; he also leaves behind nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. They will all lovingly remember him as a fun, adventurous and generous father and grandfather.

    Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George. There will be a viewing Saturday, one hour prior to service at the Mortuary. Interment will take place in the Silver Reef Cemetery, Silver Reef, Utah.
