(St. George, UT) – Dixie State College baseball jumped three spots to No. 3 in the most recent NCAA II West Region Poll that was released on Wednesday.

The Red Storm completed its regular season at 32-18 after defeating Cal State Los Angeles three games to one last weekend.

"We are just appreciative that the voters recognized the strength of our schedule," DSC head coach Mike Littlewood said. "We are extremely excited to have a chance at post season (play) once again."

Western Oregon remained atop the region with Chico State jumping two spots to No. 2. UC San Diego sits at No. 4, CSU San Bernardino dropped to No. 5 and CSULA fell to No. 6. Rounding out the region is Cal Poly Pomona at seventh and Grand Canyon at eighth.
