(St. George, UT) - St. George Police continue their investigation into the fatal crash that claimed the life of Donald Padilla, 43 of Washington City Wednesday.

Padilla was traveling east on 1450 South in St. George early Wednesday morning when struck head-on by a SUV driven by a teenager returning from an all-night graduation event. Padilla was taken by Life Flight helicopter to the UMC Trauma Center in Las Vegas where he died late Wednesday evening.

St. George police said the two teenagers in the SUV were transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. Cause of the crash remains under investigation. However, police believe the crash occurred when the SUV driven by the teens turned into the wrong lane.

Investigators are trying to determine is why.

The teenagers involved have not been identifed as a matter of KCSG news policy.

Washington City Manager Roger Carter said, "We have set up an account in Donald Padilla's name at Zion's Bank. Donations made be made at any Zion's bank branch. I am sure any contributions would be greatly appreciated by the family."

Donald Padilla leaves a wife and two children.
