(Cedar City, UT) - SR-14 is now open each night Monday through Thursday from 7:00PM to 7:00AM, except on Friday when the road will open at 5:00PM and remain open through the weekend until Monday at 7:00AM. This will continue to be the schedule through July.

Milepost (MP) 7.5 - 8.2 - Crews are addressing the additional movement on the west end of the main slide area at MP 7.5. Pioneering efforts are now complete and major excavation began on June 4th.

Milepost 9.7 - Construction crews are repairing a tunnel that runs under the roadway. The design for this repair is complete and construction is anticipated to begin in the coming weeks.

Milepost 10 - Crews will be stabilizing the roadway and building a rock buttress. Construction activities at MP 10 are nearly complete with crews finishing up with guardrail installation and final pavement striping this week.

Milepost 17 - Maintenance crews have addressed a slow moving slide at MP 17 for several years. In order to stabilize the roadway in this location, construction crews will install a 200-foot long soldier pile wall to keep the roadway in place. Design at this location is complete and construction is expected to start in the coming weeks.

Much of the work on the landslide is weather dependent. The construction team continually adjusts production rates and crew size to make up for lost time due to weather delays.
