(St. George, UT) - Dixie Care & Share announced Monday that it has initiated a mobile food pantry operation that will serve the Dixie Downs area each Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00AM to 1:00PM. Basic staples of fruits, vegetables, bread, milk, and eggs will be provided - based on supply available - to any family in need of food to provide for their family. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has made available the use of their parking lot conveniently located next to the Dixie Sun Elementary School.

Jae Maxfield, Executive Director of Dixie Care & Share said, “We are always looking for opportunities to help those in need and hope the convenience of the mobile pantry will help alleviate food insecurity for families in the area. This program will serve the needs of the hungry by combining the resources of Dixie Care and Share, Utah Food Bank, and the LDS Church”.

Dixie Care & Share always appreciates donations to support the food pantry operation.
