(Reno, NV) - Ormat Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: ORA) announced Monday that it has signed a $61.4 million engineering, procurement and construction agreement with Enel Green Power North America in which the company will provide two air-cooled Ormat Energy Converters at Enel's Cove Fort geothermal power plant project near Cove Fort in central Utah.

Enel Green Power North America, Inc. acquired a non-generating geothermal plant located in Cove Fort, Utah in March of 2007. The project site is located south of Salt Lake City about 175 miles, overlapping Beaver and Millard Counties. Enel is planning to construct a new geothermal power plant with an installed capacity of up to 65 MW, to be completed in various phases. The first phase of the project is expected to be commercially operating by the end of 2013. The Cove Fort plant will use an air-cooled binary system, also known as a closed-loop system, to generate electrical power.
