(Washington, UT) - Ruth was born in Knox County, NE to Elmer and Bertha Schultz Haskin. She had two half siblings that survived birth and four siblings.

She married Edwin Luther Hospodarsky 24 October 1940. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple 7 August 1975. They had five children, Donald, Judith, Nancy, Ralph and James.

She spent the first years of her life on a farm in Knox County, NE growing up during the dust bowl years. From there she moved to Iowa and married Edwin where they farmed for 32 years and raised their children. When Edwin retired they moved to Iowa City, IA where she lived for 14 years. In 1986 she moved to Creighton, NE where she lived until moving to Washington, UT in 1999. She lived in Washington until her death.

She is survived by four children, Donald (Theresa) of Washington, UT, Nancy of Washington, UT, Ralph (Cheryl) of Indianapolis, IN, James (Cynthia) of Conyers, GA and one brother Raymond “Pete” Haskin of Elgin, NE.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Washington 10th Branch Chapel, 1500 Ridge View Dr. Washington, UT. A Viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will in La Porte City IA.
