(Cedar City, UT) - As a show of appreciation to Thunderbird Fans and loyal season ticket holders, SUU Athletics has initiated a Season Ticket Referral Program to reward season ticket holders for referring friends, family, neighbors, and/or colleagues who purchase season tickets for the upcoming Thunderbird Football campaign.

Just as SUU Football begins preparation for the 2012 season, now through August 31st at 5:00 p.m., current season ticket holders who refer a new season ticket holder will earn points toward winning very exciting prizes.

The system works on a per ticket point basis. For example, if you refer one person, you get one point. If you refer a family of four, you are awarded four points.

This season, there will be prizes for the top two season ticket holders based on their points accumulated.

2nd most referrals/Second Prize: Receive two 2013 season tickets for free!

Most referrals/Grand Prize: Catch a game with the AD! Up to six people will have the privilege of escaping the November elements and watching the Eastern Washington (Senior Day) game with Athletic Director Ken Beazer in his private suite at Eccles Coliseum.

Official Rules:

*A new season ticket holder is defined as someone who did not purchase a season ticket package for the 2011 season.

*The Grand Prize also includes two free 2013 season tickets.

*Referrals are defined as each season ticket package sold. For example, one new season ticket holder purchasing four season tickets counts as four referral points.

*Referrals must include the name of the referring season ticket holder at the time of their order whether through email (tickets@suu.edu), over the phone at (435) 586-7872, or online at tbirdtickets.com.

*If you are awarded Second Prize or the Grand Prize and receive two 2013 season tickets for free, you are still responsible for your Thunderbird Club donation if you desire those seats to be in Sections B, C, or D.
