(Laverkin, UT) - LaVerkin is growing in its community size with the development of Mutual Self Help housing through Color Country Community Housing Inc. (CCCHI)

With one member of the group deployed with the military. The three families of LaVerkin III have come together to create a community of friends.

Lauren Hart one of the recipients from the MSH program said “The other builders would help her by donating some of their work hours because she would be short, since her husband Adam has been deployed to Afghanistan.”

CCCHI is a non-profit organization helping low income households and families to build their own homes. The program has existed for 40 years through USDA Rural Development. Providing Low interest rate loans with no money down and rates as low as one percent, families are able to build a three bed, two baths, and two car garage homes with space to grow.

The Homes in LaVerkin are located in The Chateaus at River Wood Estates at 824 N. 370 W.

There will be light refreshments and special speaker Janice Kocher from Rural Development and LaVerkin Mayor Karl Willson.

“These families have built some amazing homes and have added to the community in which they have built them,” said Ty Tippets CCCHI’s Executive Director.

With the completion of these three homes in LaVerkin, CCCHI will have completed 30 brand new homes in the last year.
