(St. George,UT) - St. George Police have arrested Alma Vasquez, 22, who they believe photographed her husband's alleged sexual abuse of the couple's infant son. She was arrested Monday and booked into the Washington County Jail for investigation on two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators had been searching for Vasquez and her son since the father of the infant was arrested March 9. Sergio Diaz-Palomino, 34, taken into custody by police after a local Walgreen photo technician found pictures being processed of the man sexually abusing his son. St. George police were called and officers determined at least two photos were sexually explicit and met the state statute for sodomy, according to St. George Police Lt. James Van Fleet.

Diaz-Palomino has been charged with two counts of sodomy with a child, a first-degree felony, and sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony. He remains in the Washington County jail pending a preliminary hearing April 5th in Fifth District court.

Vasquez has not been formally charged and was no longer in jail Tuesday. The Utah Division of Child and Family Services has custody of the couple's infant son.
