(St. George, UT) - A St. George man Bryon Jones Stout, 25, was arrested Wednesday following an investigation into an early-morning burglary at two Bloomington Courtyard businesses. Stout of St. George was charged with burglary of a non-dwelling, criminal mischief, 2nd degree-felonies; reckless burning and booked into Purgatory Correctional Facility. Bail was set at $33,700.

St. George police and firefighters responded Bloomington Courtyard business mall shortly after 6:30 a.m. when a maintenance worker reported the front glass doors broken at the Bridal Elegance and Keith Jorgensen Organ Center and smoke and water were flowing out of a broken rear window of the Organ Center.

St. George Police spokesman James Schafer said the evidence found at the Organ Center indicated the cause of the fire was some type of incendiary device. An employee of the organ shop said four or five organs suffered water damage. Investigators estimate about $5,000 dollars in damage has been reported by the businesses.

Surveillance video from the courtyard and prior retail burglaries in the area caught on security cameras along with evidence found at the scene linked Stout to the incidents, Schafer said.

The incident remains under investigation. No motive has been established by police.
