For many years he worked for McCords Service Station, sold vacuum cleaners door to door, and did many other odd jobs to provide for his rapidly growingfamily. In 1962 he moved them to Las Vegas, Nevada, worked in construction, refrigeration, maintenance and truck driving which he really loved.
His greatest love however, was his wife, his children and grandchildren. He was so proud of all of them, just as we were so proud of him.
He is survived by Helen, his wife of sixty-five years, his children, Connie Ankiewicz, Judy Casey, Joyce Hanks, Robert Carter, Maryann Stevens, Donna DuCrest, Deanna Carter, Sherrie Kotarski, John Carter, Kenneth Carter, forty-four grandchildren, sixty-seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by one grandchild, and one great grandchild. The family would like to express their appreciation to Zion’s Way Hospice for their tender care and service.
