(Salt Lake City, UT) - The Utah Jazz has announced that the team’s 2010 second-round draft pick, forward Jeremy Evans (55th overall), will take part in this summer’s 26th annual Junior Jazz road trip, a barnstorming tour in which he will conduct 42 basketball clinics covering 4,000 miles across five states over three weeks between July 26 and August 13.

“Giving back to our communities is extremely important to us,” said Jazz president Randy Rigby. “Junior Jazz road trips have become an annual tradition and we are excited that this year Jeremy will have the opportunity to visit with Jazz fans throughout the Intermountain Region.”

The 2010 edition of the Junior Jazz road trips feature Jazz players running hour-long basketball clinics for kids in participating Junior Jazz towns across Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming. Following the clinics, Evans will sign autographs and pose for pictures. The Junior Jazz program is the largest and longest-running youth basketball league in the NBA and the Jazz is the only team in the NBA to conduct a summer tour.

Each Jazz player participates in one-to-two Junior Jazz clinics per year, visiting both local and outlying districts, where they speak to youth and conduct a total of 15 basketball clinics along the Wasatch Front each season.

The initial week will feature Evans running Junior Jazz clinics in 13 cities across the western and southern portions of Utah from July 26 to July 30. Then from August 3-7, Evans will host clinics in 14 cities in the eastern and southeastern portions of Utah, followed by an additional 14 cities in Idaho, Utah and Wyoming over the course of the third and final week (August 9-13). A complete schedule of the Junior Jazz tours is found below.
