(Las Vegas, NV) - The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR CENTRAL MOHAVE COUNTY IN NORTHWEST ARIZONA UNTIL 5:15PM MST.

The National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicates Flash Flooding from a thunderstorm near Meadview. Rainfall totals of 1.26-inches since 2:30PM MST have been measured by an automatic rain gauge in the area.

    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTION:

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful enough to sweep vehicles off the road. When encountering flooded roads make the smart choice...Turn around...Don't Drown!

In desert terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do Not Attempt to Travel Across Flooded Roads. Turn Around. Don't Drown. Find alternate routes.
