    Beaver, UT) - Eagle Point, a new ski resort located near Beaver, Utah, is planning to open for the 2010/2011 season December 15th conditions permitting.

    Shane Gadbaw, Eagle Point Chief Executive Officer said the resort is planning to open this season welcoming skiers and snowboarders beginning mid December of 2010.

    Gadbaw said “We wanted to create a place that would offer more than just great skiing. Our goal is to be family friendly, deliver outstanding dining, amenities and service, and appeal to those who might be looking to get away from the crowds," he said.

    Eagle Point Ski Resort is located in the Tushar Mountains, one of Utah’s tallest mountain ranges. The ski resort will open as an affordable family snow sport destination. Its 36 trails are a mix of beginner, intermediate, and expert terrain, with a half pipe and significant backcountry opportunities, all taking advantage of an average snowfall of 400 inches per year.

    Eagle Point is a 3.5 hour drive from Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, and 6-8 hours from Southern California and Phoenix with quick access from I-15. Popular attractions in the regional include five national parks and four Utah state parks all within a short drive from Eagle Point.

    Private condominiums are available at the resort, and additional lodging options are located down in nearby Beaver.
