The City of St. George To Officially Proclaim Sept. 21, 2013 As The Learning Center for Families Day

(ST. GEORGE, Utah) – The Learning Center for Families (TLC) will host the 20 Years of Excellence Celebration Sept. 21, 2013 at Town Square Park from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. To help recognize the outstanding work and impact the organization has had in our community, St. George Mayor Dan MacArthur will officially proclaim Sept. 21, 2013 as The Learning Center for Families Day in St. George. The announcement will be made at the City Council meeting on 9/5/2013 (City Council Chambers are open to the public and located at: 175 E. 200 North, St. George, UT 84770).

The proclamation will but just one part of the festivities commemorating their efforts over the past two decades. Debbie Justice, Executive Director of The Learning Center for Families said, “We owe our success to the hard work of our families on behalf of their children, and to our staff who provided so much support.” The proclamation will be welcomed acknowledgement of the efforts of the families and TLC team.

The Learning Center will host a bevy of family fun at their free 20 Years of Excellence Celebration community event. The festivities will include a bounce house, face painting, music, food, bike rodeo, games, prizes, dancing a Cupcake Wars style contest, talent contest and lots of other fun activities!! In addition to a great time, this is an opportunity for parents to talk one on one with child development professionals at TLC to learn more about the many programs available locally.
